Your Archives continues to grow with many wonderful donations from our members and friends. A Bridge Unit head lamp, a controller, a bronze locomotive bell, a Jewett car builder's plate, a unique map of the Vallejo & Northern/Northern Electric/ Sacramento Northern Suisun Branch, and numerous books, photographs and negatives have all be received in the last three months.

We have also completed a full upgrading of our computer hardware and associated devices. We now have 8 Apple IMAC Work stations, with three Epson Scanners, three HP laser envelope printers, two large Epson photo printers and a new portable Apple computer and video projector. The wonderful product of all this technology is that on some Wednesdays we have had volunteers manning almost all of these work stations doing the necessary cataloging, negative preservation and photo scanning that will make it possible to share our collection with researchers on line in the near future.

This year, our volunteer hours have equaled more than two full time positions, and with that labor we will have cataloged over 6000 items and scanned over 4000 negatives, many of which have been printed and added to our "cream of the crop" photo albums which document electric lines by company, line and street.

Come on out and join us on any Wednesday or Saturday, and we will find something which interests you and furthers the mission of the Archives.
